French accents on the Coutts Multimedia Lab computers

The French accents on the Mac can be created by using the Option (Alt) key. Hold the key down and type the letter you want to have an accent.

To make your keyboard work as a French keyboard: click on the Canadian flag at the top right hand corner and choose French Canadian.

If you need to know what the changes are, you can see an image of the keyboard by choosing “Show Keyboard Viewer” from the Flag menu.
