Google Search 

Use the site limiter function (site:  ) to restrict searches to provincial government web pages. Note that two domain name endings are used by the Alberta Government: "alberta.ca" and "gov.ab.ca" - search both for a comprehensive search of the content on their web sites. Note that Google is not able to search across some of the databases accessible via Alberta Government web sites.
 

Government Policy

Major policy initiatives are announced in the Speech from the Throne. It outlines the Government's legislative plans for the current session and is delivered by the Lieutenant Governor at the opening of a Session of the Legislative Assembly.

Budget Documents

The Budget is the Government's statement of its fiscal, economic, and social policies as presented to the Legislative Assembly.

Business Plans outline government and ministerial priorities and estimates document projected spending for the upcoming fiscal year. Both documents are available online with other budget documents starting with 2001/2002.

Auditor General Reports

The Auditor General of Alberta provides regular reports to the Alberta Legislature. These Public Reports are audits of the Government of Alberta, designed to identify opportunities to improve the performance of and confidence in the Alberta Public Service.

Ministry Reports

Business Plans outline ministerial priorities and estimates document projected spending for the upcoming fiscal year. Both documents are available online with other budget documents starting with 2001/2002.

Royal Commissions

•  2001-current: search the Legislative Assembly of Alberta Catalogue for access to digital copies of recent task forces and (future) royal commissions
