nkoda is a database of publisher editions of digital sheet music.

nkoda requires all users to register for a personal account. Viewing and interacting with music scores requires the use of the nkoda score-reader app.

  1. Get Started  by completing the one-time registration, using your @ualberta.ca email.
    **Note the black rectangle in the top right corner and click on YES to Continue as a member of the University of Alberta
     
  2. To search the nkoda library and interact with scores on a computer:
    1. Login ( https://app.nkoda.com  )
      1. Click on My Library > Log in > Continue with Email, using the email/password used to complete your one-time registration.
      2. In the INSTITUTIONAL ACCESS window that pops up in the top right, click on YES to Continue as a member of University of Alberta
    2. Search the nkoda library using the web-based platform
    3. View and interact with individual scores by clicking on the thumbnail image and choose one of two different methods:
      1. Open it in the web-based score-reader app
      2. Download the nkoda desktop score-reader app:
        1. For Windows 10 devices: Microsoft Store  
        2. For Mac: from the nkoda website  
           
  3. To search nkoda library and interact with scores on a mobile device:
    1. Download the app for your device
      1. For iOS devices: the Apple Store  
      2. For Android devices: Google Play  
    2. Login
      1. Click on My Library > Log in > Continue with Email, using the email/password used to complete your one-time registration.
      2. In the INSTITUTIONAL ACCESS window that pops up in the top right, click on YES to Continue as a member of University of Alberta
    3. Search, view and interact with your scores

Use of this product is restricted to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Alberta and requires first-time users to create an individual registration. When registering for library databases, please use your University of Alberta email address.
