SPRLIB Ice and Snow (1661 to the present) is a comprehensive collection of publications covering all aspects of snow and ice worldwide.
It includes books, reports, conference proceedings, journal articles, conference papers and book chapters. Subjects indexed include: astronomical aspects of ice and snow, biological aspects of ice and snow, floating ice-sea, lake and river ice, frozen ground/snow and ice engineering, general glaciology, geocryology, glacial geology, glaciological aspects of meteorology, glaciological instruments and methods, land ice, glaciers and ice shelves, physics and chemistry of ice, and snow and avalanches.
SPRLIB Ice and Snow is a subset of SPRILIB which is available on the Arctic and Antarctic Regions (AAR) database, or on the NISC Arctic and Antarctic Regions (AAR) CD-ROM.
SPRLIB Ice and Snow will be updated at different intervals from AAR and present certain advantages in being focused on more specific regions and topics.
This is an Open Access database, and is therefore not licensed exclusively for members of the University of Alberta community. It is available to all external users, both remotely and on campus.
