This guide aims to help you on your entrepreneurial journey with resources staring with idea generation all the way to the day to day operations of your company. This page is a starting point for resources and not at all comprehensive. The path to entrepreneurship is not always this linear, but no matter what step you are at, we have resources to help you!

Here we focus on many Open Access Resources that you can still have access to once you graduate, although there are some resources here restricted to only current UofA students, faculty, and staff.

What is Entrepreneurship?

In this context, entrepreneurship refers to all the building blocks needed to set up a business. Entrepreneurship and innovation are also often defined as the self-directed pursuit of opportunities that creates social and/or economic value for our communities within the immediate or longer-term time frame. This also includes social entrepreneurship that drive to solve societal needs.
