This virtual exhibit A Black Presence in Alberta, late 1800s-1970s was researched and developed by Dr. Jennifer Kelly. It is based on a previous physical exhibit developed by Dr. Jennifer Kelly and produced by Dr. Kelly with assistance from Dan Cui with funding support from Edmonton Heritage Council, Canadian Heritage, and the Social Sciences Humanities Research Council. About this guide

Many providers of subscription based K-12 online resources are opening up their content on a provisional basis to help K-12 learners as they make the transition to online learning during the COVID-19 global health pandemic. This guide includes a selection of these and other free resources to support the University of Alberta's Faculty of Education and by extension the greater Edmonton community and surrounding regions. Many were shared by teachers and librarians with the aim of increasing awareness and access to high quality online learning resources. This is not an exhaustive listing and you are reminded to check with the appropriate school administration regarding the official curriculum for your learners.
