When designing your own research, you may wish to use a preexisting test or measurement.
There are a few places you can search to find tests, including the collections listed below.
Many tests are proprietary, which means that access to them is restricted, and it may be that they can only be administered by someone trained and authorised to do so. If you are looking for a particular test and finding it difficult to locate, this may be the case. The Mental Measurements Yearbook can help you find answers about this.
Mental Measurements does not contain tests. What it contains is critical information about tests. This includes test publishers, price, intended population, test authors, and so on. You will find information on tests relating to psychology, education, personality, vocational aptitude, and more. Coverage is limited to English-language tests.
This database contains information on measurement instruments in the health fields, psychosocial sciences, organizational behavior, and more.
In PsycInfo, first do a search for information on your topic. Once you have a result, then click on the link for Additional Limits. Under "PsycInfo Classification Code" you can choose to limit to information on testing. For example, you could choose 2220 Tests & Testing, 2223 Personality Scales, 2226 Health Psychology Testing, or any of the many other options.
