Government Statistical Databases

The primary collectors and producers of statistics are civic, provincial/state, national, and international governmental organizations. The websites listed below are a selection of governmental statistical databases (note the frequent overlap with the General Statistical Databases tab). Governments, Local to Global

Intergovernmental and Nongovernmental

Most United Nations-affiliated organizations generate statistics related to their area of responsibility. To access statistics from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Trade Organization, or UNESCO, click on their direct link below. Other IGO and NGO statistical databases may be accessed through the U of A Library -- search for their names in the U of A Library Databases to verify availability.
