Writing, Editing, and Publishing Indigenous Stories

Many university presses have been publishing works by Indigenous authors and scholars for years. They can be good partners for Indigenous writers.

A university press is an academic publishing house specializing in academic books and scholarly journals. Most are an integral component of a large research university. They publish work that has been reviewed by scholars in the field. They produce mainly scholarly works, but also often have "popular" titles, or on regional topics.
