Library Seminar Activities for BUS 101 Fall 2024

Activity 1. BUS 101 Website Scavenger Hunt

  • Either individually or in groups, you will complete a website scavenger hunt as a warm-up activity.

  • Use this Google Form to access the scavenger hunt and submit your answers

    • TO ACCESS THIS DOCUMENT MAKE SURE YOU ARE LOGGED ONTO GOOGLE USING YOUR UOFA ACCOUNT (YOUR CCID & PASSWORD) - this form will not work using your personal Google account

Activity 2. Resource Exploration Activity

During the seminar, in your groups, find 5 reliable resources (with at least 3 from the library) that would be useful for your case study. 2 resources that are not from the library may be allowed, but must come from a reliable source. 

NOTE: we are asking for specific resources NOT an entire database, so for example you would pick a specific industry report from the database IBISWorld but not the IBISWorld database as a whole.  

 For each of these resources, you need to:

  1. Provide a proper citation for the resource

  2. Write one sentence as to why this resource would be useful for their case

  3. Write one sentence with the pros of using this resource

  4. Write one sentence with the cons of using this resource
