Exporting Search Results into Covidence

Search results can be imported into Covidence by saving them in either RIS format.  All of our major search platforms provide an option to save in at least one or both of these formats.  Search results from PubMed should be exported in XML format.    The document Exporting Search Results for Export into Covidence illustrates how to save search results in the appropriate format for Ovid databases, EBSCO databases, PubMed, Scopus,  Web of Science, the Cochrane Library and ProQuest databases:

If you exported your results into a citation manager (RefWorks, EndNote, Mendeley or Zotero), you can import these results into Covidence by first exporting the results to a file using the RIS format.

If you require assistance in saving database search results, please contact the Library using any of our Ask Us methods.
