The Bibliography of the Athabasca River BasinThe digital online Bibliography of the Athabasca River Basin (BARB) will greatly enhance research opportunities and access for Athabasca University and Athabasca River Basin stakeholders by removing barriers and making scientific research on the Athabasca River Basin openly accessible.
Athabasca RiverThe bibliography has been established to identify, collect, preserve and market available records of the Athabasca River Basin of enduring value to researchers, industry, government, scholars, writers, historians, and journalists and for posterity.
Oil & Natural Gas Overview - Oil SandsAn overview of urgent energy issues (Oil Sands, Keystone XL Pipeline, and Hydraulic Fracturing) viewed from the perspective of the American Petroleum Institute (API).
Oil Sands Environmental Management BibliographyThe Cumulative Environmental Management Association (CEMA)partnered with the Oil Sands Research and Information Network (OSRIN) to create the new Oil Sands Environmental Management Bibliography, which includes documents relevant to the environmental management of oil sands development in Alberta. The majority of the documents focus on the mineable oil sands in the Athabasca deposit, though some documents relate to in-situ developments.
Oil Sands Research and Information Network (OSRIN)The Oil Sands Research and Information Network (OSRIN) is a university-based, independent organization that compiles, interprets and analyses available knowledge about returning landscapes and water impacted by oil sands mining to a natural state and gets that knowledge into the hands of those who can use it to drive breakthrough improvements in reclamation regulations and practices. OSRIN is a project of the University of Alberta’s School of Energy and the Environment (SEE). OSRIN was launched with a start-up grant of $4.5 million from Alberta Environment and a $250,000 grant from the Canada School of Energy and Environment Ltd.
